I offer one-to-one counselling for individuals from all walks of life. My aim is to provide a safe, welcoming, and confidential space where you can talk openly and work through whatever is troubling you.

Your Initial Meeting
Your first step is a free 20–30 minute phone or video appointment — with no commitment.

This is a chance for us to:

Talk about what’s bringing you to counselling
Answer any questions you may have
See if we feel comfortable working together

If you would prefer to meet in person for your initial session, I offer a 40-minute face-to-face appointment for £30.

Starting Counselling

If we decide to work together, we’ll agree on a therapeutic contract that outlines our session structure and guidelines, including:

Session length: 50–60 minutes
Frequency: Usually weekly, at a mutually convenient time
Cancellations: 24 hours’ notice required — half fee if less than 24 hours, full fee if missed
Duration: I work on an open-ended basis, so you can continue for as long as feels right, always with your goals in mind

PLANNING AN ENDING

Endings are an important part of the counselling process. When the time comes, we’ll work together to end gradually, ensuring it feels safe, positive, and complete.

WHERE I WORK

I practise from my private, ground-floor counselling room attached to my home on the edge of Frome, Somerset. It’s a calm and comfortable setting, not clinical, so you can feel at ease.

Limited reduced-fee spaces available for those who are unwaged, on a low income, or students (please enquire during your initial meeting)
Fees are payable at each session.

ACCESSIBILITY

My counselling room is on the ground floor with one small step. Wheelchair access is possible, but please check the door width in advance. If access is difficult, I will do my best to make alternative arrangements to meet your needs.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

I’m based on the Bath side of Frome, close to the bypass and within easy reach of:
